Moscari
The geographical situation of the tiny village of Moscari in the Serra de Tramuntana mountains, spread on a hillock, allows it to enjoy an extensive panorama of the nearby mountains to the North as well as the undulating plains to the south. Its architectural heritage includes the parish church of Santa Anna, the school, the Village Hall, the former convent of Franciscan nuns, the Cross of Llevant and, especially, the ancient manor houses of C’an Gelat and Can Riera. On the outskirts you will find the Son Ferrer well (13th Century), the small parish cemetery and the monument to the Sacred Heart of Jesus (1948). The villa Villa ref 433 is a delightful rural retreat in the foothills of the Serra de Tramuntana, which is also within easy driving distance of the beaches of Puerto Pollença and Puerto Alcudia. The holiday villa is charming and comfortably furnished in traditional style with air conditioning throughout (please note there is a separate charge by the owner to cover the cost of electricity for the use of the air-conditioners). Outside, the covered terrace overlooking the spacious pool area not only provides welcome shade at the hotter times of day but also makes the perfect venue for dining al fresco. The villa is surrounded by stunning scenery and located just outside Moscari, a typical Mallorquin village, which is virtually untouched by tourism. Here you will find a bar offering simple snacks, a general store and a small hotel with quite possibly the best fish restaurant on the island. Further facilities can be found just 3km away in the villages of Campanet and Selva, or the leather manufacturing town of Inca which is 5km away - don't miss the Thursday market.
